Junior Registered Nurse – fewer than 2 years experience – is the most in-demand experience level, based on an examination of online job postings. Junior RNs also have the largest candidate supply. Fewer listings advertise for senior-level RNs (who have 8 or more years experience). But hiring these highly experienced nurses is tough. There are only 15 RNs with that many years experience for every job listing and not many of them are looking. Employers seeking senior-level RNs who also hold an advanced degree are likely to have the most difficulty, as only 10% of all nurses have a Master’s and 3% a Doctorate. Wanted Analytics
