Besides knowing how to do the job, there’s one more requirement that healthcare workers will need to get the job: skill with electronic medical records. In August, the most commonly requested skill across all healthcare jobs — from nurse to medical biller to physician — was experience with electronic medical records or electronic health records. Surveying all the healthcare jobs posted in August, Wanted Analytics found 15,000 of them required EMR or EHR knowledge. This is a 31% since August 2011 and an 88% since August 2010.
